The story picks up shortly after Captain Janeway's alliance with the Borg. Harry Kim has died from an attack by Species 8472. Kes' mental abilities are back to normal (for her), and Seven of Nine has just had most of her Borg implants surgically removed. The crew is still traversing Borg space. Voyager is attacked, when they find refuge on a planet which curiously repells the Borg - and may prove deadly to Seven of Nine.

This utilizes the lineup originally intented before Paramount changed their minds and wrote Kes out the last minute following Star Trek: Voyager's third season.

This is an exceptionally challenging project, as we're working to keep within canon while at the same time forging a new path. It's attracted a lot of attention and a steady readership. Compiled entries are added to the website archives every few weeks for public viewing (the sim itself is conducted in an unlisted club on Yahoo).

Writers have come and gone from the project, mostly due to transitions in their lives preventing them from devoting the time and application to do the quality of the sim justice. We're evolving to bring that ultimate lineup together for this project, and thus far the changes have been mostly for the better. With a more unified vision and sense of dedication, it's given me less to watch over so that I may focus more on my role as the Doctor (who isn't as easy as I thought when used in canon).

Milestones thus far have been the Doctor's first experience with his holoimager and the destined pairing of Tom and B'Elanna. Will our friends make it beyond Borg space? Only one way to find out:
